3 Mean Vandal Woman Break into Cat Shelter and Destroy it!

A recent break-in at the Susanville animal shelter has caused a big outcry!

3 Vandals broke into a pet animal shelter early Wednesday morning, dirtying the walls with graffiti, damaging equipment and kidnapping six cats.

The Shelter workers have since been worried about the felines’ fate. “We can clean up the mess,” said Animal Cotnrol Supervisor Judge Walesch, “but we worry about the cats, if they are being cared for. I can’t imagine someone who vandalizes an animal shelter actually loving the cats or caring for them. I hope that they are alright and not being ill used.”

So far, one adult cat was recovered during the investigation and Thursday night the two young kittens were recovered at the home of one of the pre-teen girls arrrested in the case.

They are reportedly in good health and being bottle raised at a foster home. Their mother and two other adult cats are still missing.

Sadly, two cats were injured in the rampage. One suffered eye burns from something the vandals threw around the office. The other, an elderly cat, who had been the shelter’s mascot and internet ambassador was badly traumatized by the incident and had to be euthanized.

The damage down to the shelter is estimated to be many thousands of dollars.

The two pre-teen girls responsible for the damage are being held in juvenile hall on burglary and animal cruelty charges.

Along with the girls, a 35 year old woman has also been arrested as she helped them rob the place and destroy it.

————— My Comments:

How terrible that is!  The poor cats and dogs, the poor shelter!

How could ANYONE do such a MEAN thing to such poor little creatures! Destroying a shelter where poor beaten and starving cats and dogs find a refuge, kidnapping six cats and doing I don’t know what to them.

What is this world coming to?

That there can be such mean people on this planet is simply shocking! They are either demented or simply cold hearted and cruel!

Lost Cat United with Owner again after 8 Months!

Lost Cat United with his owner after 8 Months!!!

Charles the Lost Cat
Charles the Lost Cat

Charles, a cat from new Mexico ran away some eight months ago while in care of a babysitter.

His owner, Alex has been searching for him for MONTHS but without any result. Then one day, Charles somehow turned up 1,300 miles away in Chicago!

The cat had been  picked up as a stray by Windy City animal control workers.

Luckily, a tracking microchip had been emebedded in Charles’ shoulder blades which enabled workers to track his owner Alex down and prevent them from putting Charles to sleep.

They called Alex up and told him that they had found his cat.

However, Alex was at that time volunteering for the Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans and was terribly upset as there was nothing he could do about getting Charles.

Then the stunned cat lover enjoyed the further good fortune of having an Albuquerque resident – and fellow cat owner – volunteer to pick up Charles while in Chicago for a wedding.

Lucien Sims, who also owns a tabby, got an Albuquerque company to provide a cat carrier and American Airlines waived Charles’ travel fees.

“He needs a good brushing,” said Cherie Travis, executive director of Chicago Animal Care and Control.

“He’s got a little bit of a cold – a little bit of an upper respiratory infection – but otherwise he’s in great condition.”

3 hours later, both can and owner where united in a loving happy end hug!

Alex still cannot believe his good fortune at having his cat back and I am sure that Charles is ever so happy too to be back with his loving owner after all he has been through!

Let’s hope that he doesn’t run away too soon again and enjoyes a happy, long and healthy life!

What a lovely happy-end cat story! Don’t you think so?

Comment below and tell me what you think about it.

Thanks, and have a great day!

Mean Kitty Song Lyrics

Hey Little Sparta – The Mean Kitty Song

I got this little kitty about 2 months back,
He was the nicest little kitty now a pain in my crack.
This little kitty is ninja always stalking my feet.
This little kitty is a warrior you know what I mean.
He’s an evil little kitty, look what he did to my hand.
Tries to get in trouble in any way that he can.
I can give this cat a toy but he’d rather have the wrapper.
When I always give him water but he still drinks from the crapper.
You could lock him in the closet and he just won’t care.
Kitty chews on my shoes and he licks on my hair.
Always scratching on my favorite chair and jumping on the couch.
Playing in the windowsills and tearing through the house
He is so full of energy and easily amused.
Kitty will attack anything that moves,
Causing trouble, starting battles just so he can be a part of
He’s the meanest little kitty so we named him Sparta.

Hey little Sparta what is with all the fight,
Little bitty kitty want to bite, bite, bite.

Where’d you go? Are you stalking me?
Are you under the couch? Quite possibly.
Ears laid back so you don’t get caught.
Ready to pounce my leg with everything you got.
I know you’re probably watching me from across the room.
Concentrating, contemplating on attacking me soon.
You’re not invisible kitty, I’m going to find you first.
Come out, come out, before I make things worse.
I’ve seen where you hide and I know where you’ve been.
Hey kitty why don’t you give in.
Even if you try to sneak up on me I’m prepared.
‘Cause I got my safety gear on and I’m not scared.
I think I hear a little kitty under the bed.
I know you’re making noises just to mess with my head.
You can stalk me all you want, but I’m not your prey.
You always seem to find me first, but not today.

Hey little Sparta what is with all the fight?
Little bitty kitty want to bite, bite, bite.

Come on now, I’m going get you now.

I’ve got him cornered and now he’s mine.
He’s not going to get away this time.
I’ll snatch him up fast and before he can blink.
And then, awww man, he’s a sleep in the sink.
What is with this cat? I’m confused.
He’s got a bed but its never been used.
In every waking moment kitty is up for the fight.
Then next minute kitty’s out like a light.
How could I let this little creature inside of my home.
I got to keep an eye on him when I’m on the phone.
I’m a little afraid to leave this cat all alone.
This kitty may destroy everything that I own.
Look at him now, I kind of feel bad.
He’s the best little cat that I’ve had
And the one big thing I forgot to mention was that he wasn’t fighting.
He just wanted attention.

Hey little Sparta what is with all the fight?
Little bitty kitty want to bite, bite, bite.

Showing love, that’s all this kitty does.

Stray Momma Cat Fosters Abandoned Bob Cat Kittens

Momma Cat Saves Bob Cat Kittens!

Momma cat nurses bobcat kittens
Momma cat nurses bobcat kittens

A few weeks ago, a hunter found three small bobcat kittens alone in the woods of Alabama and took them to Big Cat Rescue.

Big Cat Rescue took the kitties in, but felt that they would and could not survive as they where too young and their eyes where still closed.

Luckily something special happened!

A stray cat in the Rescue Center who’s kittens had already started eating solid food found the kittens and adopted them imediately! She cuddled up to them and let them suckle on her nipples. Half an hour later, the kittens where already happily cuddled up with the momma cat aswell as with her own kittens!

They are now healthy, full and happy!

Big Cat Rescue plans to release the bobcats into the wild after 18 months, when they’ll be old enough to hunt and survive on their own.

What a lovely cat story!

Crazy woman pierces kittens to make them “Gothic kittens”

SCANDAL!!! Woman Pierces her Kittens

One of the pierced "Gothic Kittens"
One of the pierced "Gothic Kittens"

The Pierced “Gothic Kittens”

A 35 year old woman in Pennsylvania was just sentenced to house arrest for six months after having  pierced her three young kittens on their necks, ears and docking their tails. As well as tying a ring around one of the kitten’s tails used to prevent blood flow, causing the tail to fall off in time.

Strangely enough, even though Crawford (as is the woman’s name) pierced her kittens with fourteen gauge needles (the size normally used to inject cattle) she claims not to have wanted to hurt them but only to have tried to  “beautify” them.

She marketed them on the internet as “Gothic Kittens” and gained a lot of fame especially on her website gothickittens.net were she put up pictures of the kittens and later used it to raise money to support her appeal in court.
Her defence lawyers argue that

Tips when burring your long loved pet

Tips to burring your dead pets (dogs, cats, mice and rats, and even birds!)

Find a spot that is closest to you, a place that you can visit often and pay your respects to your lost dead cat/dog/pet/mouse/bird or any other pet you have.

If you are religious, you might want to do a prayer, asking God to take good care of your pet, or just simply praying for it to be happy where ever it is… You can invent your own prayers, just voice your worries, your hopes, your fears and your sadness.

What I think is a good way to relieve yourself at least a bit of the guilt, sadness and misery, is to:

  • Write a letter to your dead cat or dog or pet.

Your letter can be anything you want it to be.
It can say that your sorry (if it was your fault).

  • Light a candle
  • Talk with friends about it
  • Chat online about your dead pet
  • Write it down in a diary or book
  • Do EFT – emotional freedom Technique that clears away any sadness, pain and emotional problems. It’s free.
  • Tell us about it and we’ll share your sorrows with you! Just write a comment below about what happened, how it happened and what you did about it. It always feels better to talk about things.

How to Respectfully Bury your Dead Pet – My Mouse Burial Story

How to Bury Your Dead Cat or Dog?

Have you just lost one of your dearest little furry friends? Did one of your beloved pets die?

Was it your life long beloved dog or cat?
Do you still remember him/her just like as if he/she were still there right besides you, rubbing against you, purring or barking?

Are you feeling alone, sad, misreable; as though there  is no one else out there who can understand you or comfort you?

But please don’t feel alone.

I understand your sadness, your devestation, your misery…. I too have had my share of loss.
When I was young, the only pets I had where two little mice in a cage by the window.

Mouse or not mouse, I still loved them dearly and used to play with them, pet them and watch them run around in their cage by the window.

They were not the plain sort of mice, but sandy colored dessert mice which where always active and friendly. These kind of mice, can loose their tails if they get scared, but this we had no idea about till one day mom tried to catch one of the sisters (now called Short tail) and grabbed her by the tail.

You can guess what happened: Mom was left shocked with a bloody stub of a tail.

A terrible incident to have happened.

Still, the mice lived on happily for a few more good years, but then some time after my 10 birthday, short tail got some brain infection and got very ill, she actually turned crazy.

Her ears started bleeding and white puss was coming out of them. She scratched at them and ran around in circles.

We had no idea what to do about her! So we just left her be. Hoping that she would recover somehow or another…. But she didn’t.

And then one day, she became murderous and killed her sister.  Just bit her neck out of the blue and killed her.

We came back and found

Which Cat Food Bowls are safe for cats to eat from? Ceramic Cat food bowls, Plastic cat food bowls or stainless steal cat food bowls?

Which Cat Food Bowls & Cat Food Dishes are safe for your Cats to eat from?

By: Cats Camille

What Cat Food Bowls and Cat Food Dishes are Safe for my Cat to use?

Cat Food dishes are a very common and easily found cat food item. Yet sometimes, if there isn’t a shop in your near you might have to go online to find the right cat food dish. In which case you should first compare a few different cat food dishes and cat food bowls before desiding for one spesific cat food bowl.

You can also compare prices for your cat food dish in a few different shops, but mostly the prices for cat food dishes will be the same, since it’s such a low priced item any way…..

All cats need to eat from something and of course if you have a cat you will need to have a cat food dish or food bowl. There are the most common kinds of cat food dishes such as plastic food dish for cats, stainless steal cat food dish and a ceramic or porcelan cat food bowl.

Compare these three most common cat food dishes and cat food bowls to find which one is the right one for your cat!

There are three common kinds of cat food bowls and cat food dishes:

  1. A ceramic or porcelan cat food dish
  2. A plastic cat food bowl
  3. A stainless steel cat food dish

A Ceramic or Porcelan Cat Food Dish

A lot of ceramic and porcelan cat food dishes are very beautifully decorated. Ceramic Cat food dishes are heavier then other cat food dishes and wont fall over if thrown around. However if you buy a fancy painted cat food bowl, make sure that it is marked “safe for food”. Some fancy, decorated and beautiful cat food dishes contain lead in the paint or glaze (or other things), which is poisonous when eaten by humans or pets. Usually if the food dishes are safe for people to use, then they will probably be safe for your cat.

Just check to make sure!

Plastic Cat Food Bowl – safe or not?

Plastic cat food bowls are commonly sold in pet supply stores and are easy to clean, can not be broken and are usually very cheap too.

Nevertheless, plastic cat food dishes are not highly recommended.
They tend to get scratched easily and could house bacteria that will make your cat or kitten sick.

The plastic cat food dishes also get slime on the sides and that can caus serious problems for your cat and for you too.

Our cats like to play with any water dish or cat food dish and fling them across the floor causing a lot of mess and water. There for plastic bowls aren’t recommended since they are easier to fling and knock over and can really caus a big mess!

WARNING: Sometimes, a very cheap plastic cat food dish might come with a very sharp edge that could perhaps cut your cats lips or skin. Therefor check any plastic cat food dishes before buying any cat food dish or bowl.

Stainless Steel Cat Food Bowls:

Stainless steel bowls are solled almost everywhere. Stainless steal cat food bowls are dishwasher safe and sturdy. However there are some minuses to consider before buying any stainless steal cat food dish….

Some people think that stainless steel cat food bowls are not a good choice either since they give the cat food a bad metallic taste. Although I never had a bad experience with steal cat food dishes, (since I have never bought a stainless steal cat food dish for my cats) I can imagine that it probably would have the same affect as our steal pott that made us sick!

However since i personly have not tried it, you could give it a go if you wanted to!

3 Cat Food Bowl Tips:

1. Whatever type of dishes you purchase, make sure they are washed out and refilled every day with clean fresh water.

2. Use a wet sponge to rub the sides and corners of the cat food dish to make sure that no bacterias and slime are growing there.

3. TIP: When you choose any cat food dishes for your cat, buy something that is sturdy, dishwasher safe and made of metal or ceramic that wont brake if your cat/s knock it over and wont make the cats food taste bad!

Lost Black Cat Sparky Reunited with Family after 1 Year

Black Cat Found after 1 Years Search!

Sparky the cat comes home again!
Sparky the cat comes home again!

Some people think that when a cat runs away, it is gone forever.  Not so with Sparky!

This is an unusual story of a run-away cat who was found 1 year after his escape.

Last year the black cat Sparky scampered to freedom — and the unknown — from his home in Lexington, UK while his owners were visiting friends in Boston.

After Sparky fled, Addie Mathews, 19, posted flyers and scoured the neighborhood for the then 7-month-old kitten.

”There was no sign of him,” she said. ”I was just really hoping that someone had taken him in, because he’s a really friendly cat.”

A few weeks ago, someone discovered an abondond black cat in an empty bank-owned forclosure property. The owner had left it aswell as the cat behind. The cat was brought to the MSPCA in Jamaica Plain.

However, when the MSPCA counselor scanned the black cat, a microchip was found which gave the cats true identity – SPARKY!

That very same day, Sparky was reunited with his suprised owner Addie.

“I thought I’d never see him again!” She said suprised while looking down at the black kitty in her arms.

“You can’t imagine how glad I am to have him back with me again!”

—————————-

Notes:

Why do you think that Sparky ran away to begin with?

Was he unhappy with his owners, or did he just not know better and run out into the world as a curious little kitty and then get lost and end up locked up in the empty house without a way to get back home?

Do you think that it was faire that the person left the kitty alone in the for-closure house? I don’t!

Hairless Cat Breeds – Cat Breeds that don’t shed hairs

Sick and Tired of Cat Hair Landing on Your Cushions & Tables?

Hairless Cat Breed Sphynx Cat
Hairless Cat Breed Sphynx Cat

Cat Hairs here! Cat hairs there! Cat hairs EVERYWHERE!!!

Some cat breed shed and some cats don’t. The ones that shed hairs, can be quite agravating to some people as their hairs go everywhere. Also, some people are allergic to cat hair and therefore can’t have a cat in the house even if its their favorite creature!

Other people, just can’t stand the constant work of cleaning up the cat hairs from tables, couches, cushions, pillowcases, beds, floor mats, counter tops, radios, TVs, computers ( TVs, computers and radios attract a LOT of cat hairs to them because they are electronic!) and so much more….

So what to do if you are allergic to cat hairs, don’t like cat hairs and don’t want to clean up after cat hairs?
The answer is this: Either suffer it or get a hairless cat breed.

Hairless Cat Breeds are breed that don’t shed!

Oh wonderful! Where can we find such a cat?
Well, there are a few different types of hairless cat breeds such as Sphynx, Peterbold cat, Bambino Cats, Kohana cats (an extremely rare Hawaiian hairless cat breed).

Hairless Sphynx catAlthough the hairless cat breeds are so convenient to have as you don’t have to clean up after them, shampoo their furr, brush it and there is also no danger of them getting ticks on them or fleas as you can see if they have them; there are also some other points that need to be considered before getting a hairless cat.

  • Hairless cat breeds don’t have the fur to protect them from the cold, from the sun, the snow, from getting cut up if they go through bushes or from any enemy animal biting them.
  • Hairless cats can easilier get cut and gashed since they have no fur to protect their skin.
  • Hairless cat breeds will get terribly burned if you don’t watch out! So make sure to keep them out of the sun almost all day long and don’t let them outside if you can help it!

Some tips when caring for a hairless cat:

  1. Keep your cat indoors at all sunny times except in the evenings, or cloudy days when no sun shines.
  2. If you do want to let your hair less cat outside, then make sure to cream her up nicely against the sun with suncream, like you would do for a baby.
  3. Make sure your cat is safe and doesn’t get hurt!
  4. Get your cat a warm heated cat bed for the cold days so she won’t freeze.
  5. Keep your hairless cat breed busy with lots of things to do, play with and climb on so she won’t get bored and want to go outside.

You can adopt a sphinx cat from a breeder in your area or find one in a local shelter.

Read this post on Should city cats be kept indoors or be let outdoors sometimes too?
