I need help!!! I was given a 4 year old Siberian Cat for Mothers Day. She was a “queen”. Last litter was in November of 2011, fixed in February this year. My Daughter and Son got her from a cattery/breeder in Hesperia CA, they say two different stories, her other owner (another cattery) died and she came back to THIS CATTERY, then she said the cat has never left her cattery. She is totally anti social, afraid of everything. I have done everything I can think of to earn her trust. I have been hand feeding her treats and trying to get her used to my hands. She will NOT let me pet her at all! She is dirty, needs combed and Loved. I have changed positions to accommodate my back, she swats at me to knock the food out of my hand so she can get it to the floor, I am not sure she is trainable to be LOVING, she seems to act FERAL. (I am a disabled Senior, she was supposed to be a companion). Can anyone give me ANY suggestions? This cat was a very costly and my children thought this Siberian was going to be okay for me because I am allergic to cats. I am an animal lover and MOST animals LOVE me. If anyone can tell me if I should give up or keep trying. Anyone HELP!!!
